7 Things

Only because it came from my dear friend Karen will I play this game of tag and tell you 7 weird things about myself (only 7??). After this, I’m done being tagged for good!

1. I am surrounded by people I love but am happiest when I can steal a few hours by myself.
2. I cannot go anywhere nor do anything until my bed is made.
3. If I see scallops on the menu I have a hard time ordering anything else because I love them so much.
4. The love of my life is a card carrying Republican and I have the most liberal political views of almost anyone I know.
5. When I was 15 I stole my mom’s Chevy Caprice, drove to my boyfriend’s house and on the way out of his driveway hit the mail box and scraped the fender. I acted surprised later when my dad pointed out the dented fender and said someone must have backed into them when it was parked on the street and he agreed.
6. My first night in San Diego I played strip poker and lost.
7. I love to bake but have a fear of yeast yet look what I created yesterday.




Mark made fun of my first attempts at twisting the pretzels so I had him step up. He did a pretty admirable job. The key to this whole thing was having the KitchenAid mixer. I can’t imagine having to knead 10 cups of flour by hand!

Also, Andrew was my cheerleader telling me I could do it! He is my chef/yeast confidence builder!

Thanks to Mike and Susie for hosting the Austrian Oktoberfest dinner – that was the motivation behind making the pretzels!
