For years I have tried and tried with no luck to make the rolls that my family has enjoyed at every holiday. Mine have always resembled hockey pucks - hard and tasteless until today. Holding my breath I dissolved the yeast, scalded the cream and kneaded in the flour. I patiently waited for them to rise first in the bowl and then punching down the dough and forming them into little rolls and letting them rise again. I'm happy to report that Laura has given this latest batch the thumbs up!
